The hotel is tucked away down a cute picturesque lane, adding to the quaintness of the place. The rooms, although tiny and old-fashioned with charming wooden beams and wonky floors, were not very comfortable due to their size and lack of certain amenities. The location was excellent, deep in the small streets connecting the colleges, perfect for a quiet stay, despite one guest questioning a dubiously charged fee. The basic dining options included industrial cereals, orange juice, and bread, with the possibility of adding a cooked English breakfast for more variety.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms are very old fashioned, with wooden beams on ceilings and wonky floors, but charming, despite not being very comfortable, very small, with no wardrobe, and a very small bathroom which was just about clean.

The location is excellent and was a key part of my decision to book a room with the hotel, deep in the small streets and alleys connecting the colleges, down a cute picturesque lane, quiet and quaint, only a five-minute walk into town.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were small but lovely, with facilities for adding extra beds if needed. The service was top-notch, with extremely welcoming staff, especially at the Reception. The location was superb, right in the middle of Oxford, making it convenient for exploring the city center. However, the dining experience was not enjoyable, and the options seemed a bit meagre. Despite that, the overall experience was positive.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room was tiny and unsuitable for two adults, in serious need of refurbishment, but at least it had all the essentials like a desk, kettle, and fridge. The service was friendly and accommodating, though not exceptional. The location was convenient for exploring Oxford's city center, which was a definite plus. The dining options were basic, with limited breakfast choices. Overall, it was an average stay with some room for improvement.

The dining experience was basic, with limited breakfast choices available. It wasn't the most satisfying start to the day, but it was decent enough to get us going.

The hotel facilities were average, nothing extraordinary but served their purpose. We didn't spend much time using them, so it didn't impact our stay significantly.

The hotel's location was superb, tucked away in the heart of the university district, surrounded by picturesque lanes and a charming nearby pub. The rooms, although snug and up in the loft, suited our preference for a cozy stay. However, cleanliness could have been better with a strange smell lingering. The service was top-notch with lovely and helpful staff, enhancing the experience. The dining experience, while satisfactory, had room for improvement, especially with basic amenities and an additional charge for cooked meals. The historic property exuded character, but minor details like dirty glasses and tablecloths affected the overall appeal.

The hotel is in a modern annexe with a tired feel, but the service is kind, hospitable, and friendly. The location is excellent for exploring Oxford, with a perfect setting near historic buildings and dining options. The dining experience is basic without substantial options.

Rooms

The room, accessed by steps outside the front reception with its own entrance, needed redecoration and had very limited facilities. It was tired with carpet issues and a leak near the sink.
